Next Gadigal Ginko: 10am, Saturday 20th June, 2026 at State Library

The next Gadigal Ginko will take place on Saturday 20th June, 2026 from 10am. For this winter gathering I thought it would be good to have options for both indoor and outdoor ginko, depending on the conditions prevailing on the day, so we will meet at the State Library. To join with other Sydney haiku poets for this event, please register via the form on the Gadigal Ginko page. There you’ll find an outline of what’s involved in the ginko, as well as links to reports of previous ginko.

If you have difficulty registering via the dedicated registration form, you can also try leaving me a message via the contact form on the About page.

Haiku Down Under 2024

Haiku Down Under 2024 was held via Zoom over the weekend of 16th-18th August 2024. I deeply appreciate the commitment and effort of my co-organisers Sue Courtney (New Zealand), Carole Harrison (Australia) and Carol Reynolds (Australia) in planning and running this second trans-Tasman haiku gathering. I’m also grateful to the presenters, discussion panel members, guest Session Hosts and the participants from all over who made it an engaging and stimulating weekend. Thanks also to Sandra Simpson, who at late notice became our Patron, and who has written some kind words on her breath blog site.
